On 13th March 2024, Leeds Irish Health and Homes celebrated another fabulous St Patrick’s Day party at Leeds Irish Centre.
Guests of honour included Consul General of Ireland for the North of England Sarah Mangan, the Lord Mayor of Leeds Councillor Al Garthwaite, members of Leeds Jamaica Society and LIHH trustees.
Our staff and volunteers did an incredible job serving soup, bacon and cabbage and cheesecake. Special thanks to our LIHH volunteers, Leeds City Council (Finance), Leeds Building Society and Sagars for helping everything go smoothly!
Music was provided by Leeds Comhaltas and legendary DJ Tommy K, and Eibhlin Maloney and Orlaith Tennyson got us in the party mood with a world-class Irish dancing display.
After heart-warming words from the Lord Mayor, Consul General of Ireland for the North of England Sarah Mangan and LIHH Chair Rachael Loftus, it was time for LIHH CEO Ant Hanlon to call the raffle. There was a huge range of prizes up for grabs, including a slow cooker and a luxury Easter egg.
Always a great venue, Leeds Irish Centre was dressed to impress with decorations ready for St Patrick’s Day weekend. It was joyful to see so many people making moves and enjoying each other's company and wearing so many different shades of green!
Wishing our community members a very happy and healthy St Patrick’s Day.
